Energy production and consumption has historically most negatively impacted Black, Brown, Indigenous, and low-income communities, forcing them to bear the brunt of the pollution, dangerous policies, and climate change impacts. Switching to a clean-energy economy is not only essential for combatting the climate crisis – it is absolutely essential for fighting systemic racism. The good news is that it is possible.
