Fire Drill Fridays Discusses the Louisiana Bayou, the American Far Right, and Environmental Pollution
Actor and Activist, Jane Fonda, and author, Arlie Hochschild, discuss “Strangers in Their Own Land,” the story of a liberal sociologist’s journey deep into Louisiana bayou country in an effort to understand the American far right and its members’ relationships to environmental pollution. Also joining the conversation is General Russel Honoré, a decorated lieutenant general featured in the book, who now leads the GreenARMY to protect against pollution and fight climate change.
